DataDot Technology operates only two public data products that relate to a car: a PIN is applied with the chassis number - internationally known as Code VIN = Vehicle Identification Number Vehicle Identification Number which consists off a sequence of 17 alphanumeric characters and is the unique number assigned to the vehicle manufacturer worldwide. This database does not check if the vehicle is stolen; simply allows the identification of a vehicle marked and registered with a PIN DataDotDNA number. The data are not related to you personally (your vehicle's VIN number and PIN used on your vehicle) are made available publicly and can be searched using DataDot Technology global database.

DataDot Technology does not handle personal data. This data are available at the Public Car Register (PRA) where anyone can learn about the current legal and administrative situation of a vehicle (including the holder or the property), based on the license plate number (which can also be changed over the life of a car), calling for a "title search" to PRA due (among other things) the vehicle identification number (VIN) which remains constant throughout the life of a car.
